Through the T&S project, Antica Valserchio has secured patents for cutting-edge technologies and materials, allowing the implementation of a production process that makes it possible to identify and trace textiles.
The production process implemented, which uses nanotechnology and ad-hoc processes, was conceived as a potential solution to combat product counterfeiting, which is a very widespread problem in the tailoring and high fashion sectors.
Project results:
1. a patent for the development of a 2D nanostructured piezochromic and piezo-photochromic fluorescent pigment used as a tracer for unambiguously marking and/or identifying fibers, yarns, fabrics and/or garments, hereinafter understood as textile clothing accessories.
2. a patent relating to cold-dyed textiles dyed with a smart pigment, fluorescent dyes and/or optical brighteners used as tracers for unambiguously marking and/or identifying fibers, yarns, fabrics and/or garments, hereinafter understood as textile clothing accessories, and for manufacturing a textile accessory for high-visibility clothing with high lightfastness.
3. a patent relating to cold-dyed textiles dyed with high-visibility piezochromic and fluorescent smart dyes and/or pigments to produce so-called NEON or FLUORESCENT textiles.
The project was co-funded by the Regional Government of Tuscany for a total amount of 536,968.82 euros.
